If you're managing multiple doctors, difficult medical terminology, leaving appointments with more questions than answers, or struggling to advocate for yourself or your child without damaging provider relationships, expert coaching can help.
Who is this for:
Parents of children with chronic or complex conditions
Adolescents and young adults taking ownership of their healthcare
Adults coordinating multiple providers or specialists
Anyone who feels lost, dismissed, or overwhelmed by the system

About Dr. Becker
Dr. David Becker is both a licensed psychotherapist (LMFT) and a licensed physician (MD), with more than 25 years of experience at UCSF.
His work is shaped by a whole-person view of care. He recognizes that emotional well-being, physical health, relationships, family context, coping skills, and life circumstances are often connected.
This perspective grew out of his background in primary care pediatrics, integrative medicine, chronic pain care, and psychotherapy. Today, his private practice brings these experiences together to support adults, children, teens, and families navigating concerns that do not always fit neatly into one category.
His approach is thoughtful and collaborative, with care guided by each person’s goals, needs, and preferences.
